Closure of UK airspace impact on delivery services
The UK and parts of European airspace has been closed due to the effects of the recent volcano eruption in Iceland. As a result, all international and some UK delivery services have been disrupted as they are normally transported by air.

Please note that this affects both standard Royal Mail and courier UPS services.

UK VAT rates to return to 17.5% in Jan 1 2010
During 2009, the standard rate of VAT was reduced to 15% between 1 December 2008 and 31 December 2009 for sales of products within the UK and non-registered VAT across the EU. As we approach the end of the year, the UK government has confirmed that the 17.5% VAT rate will return into force from 1 January 2010.
